Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has shared some major updates coming to its anti-cheat system that will be available soon. As Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 continues its attempts to address a well-known problem in online gaming and ensure that players have a positive experience with the upcoming title, fans are eager to see if the end product is successful.
Cheaters are nothing new to the Call of Duty franchise, which makes an effort to combat them with its RICOCHET system. This system uses both server-side and client-side tools to analyze gameplay information and spot any irregularities, such as inappropriate behavior or hardware, that may be disrupting the gaming environment. Once cheaters are identified, the next step is to ban them from the game. RICOCHET is a key ally for developers in ensuring a fair gaming environment. Now, this fundamental Call of Duty system is about to get some major updates.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Anti-Cheat System Receives Changes Ahead of Beta
In a new blog post, the developers of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 revealed that a new machine learning system and detection tools will be implemented to make cheating more risky and less effective. With this, the game will have three key improvements, the first of which is the ability to identify natural aim from players using an aimbot. It will be faster to identify those using hall hacks to see enemies through walls, and there will be layered defenses to make life difficult for cheaters in Black Ops 7. According to the post, the incoming update was based on millions of hours of Black Ops 6 gameplay and represents the most significant leap RICOCHET has taken to date.
This major RICOCHET update is not the only measure developers are taking to ensure fairer multiplayer. Previously, new anti-cheat requirements for playing Black Ops 7 on PC were revealed, with TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, and RICOCHET acting as an even stronger line of defense. All three systems will be in action during the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 beta and will be in full force when the game launches on November 14. Simultaneously, the stronger anti-cheat will also be available in Call of Duty: Warzone.
The Black Ops 7 beta begins on October 2 in early access for players who pre-ordered the game or Xfinity subscribers wanting to play the new Call of Duty. Starting October 5, the test will be extended to all players, with the beta ending on October 8. During this period, six maps from the 16 core 6v6 maps will be available, along with a variety of new weapons and equipment.
